SRINAGAR:    The dispute on Kashmir involves the people of Kashmir, India and Pakistan – the two nuclear states in South-Asia and thus constitutes a potential threat to peace and stability in the region and the reson of the ongoing bloodshed. It is therefore responsibility of every sane world player to save the region’s stability and urge upon New Delhi to shun its stubbornness and come out with a vibrant political attitude so that the longest pending dispute on the agenda of UNSC can be resolved amicably.

This was stated by National Front deputy chairman, Altaf Hussain Wani. He said that the Kashmir dispute has pushed the people of Kashmir as a whole to a situation where they feel isolated from the world community. This thinking has badly shaken their confidence over the world community, so it is high time for the international brethren to come forward and hold the hand of Kashmiri people in their fight against imperialism, tyranny, rights violations, denial of justice and above all, their right to self determination acknowledged by the UNSC decades before.

National Front deputy chairman exhorted India to initiate a purposeful and a substantive dialogue process with Pakistan taking Kashmiri resistance leadership on board to ensure peace and stability in the region and resolve the dispute on Kashmir. He emphasized that wars and hatred shall give nothing instead, these acts could escalate the prevailing tension and result in more bloodshed. He paid rich tributes to those martyred in Pulwama at the hands of the men in uniform. He also paid tributes to Arshid Ahmad of Chenbal Pattan who was injured at the hands of government forces early this week and succumbed late last night.
