Rawalpindi: Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 1545 Kg Narcotics and 6300 Liters Sulphuric Acid valuing Rs. 1.367 Billion internationally, arrested 16 culprits and impounded 7 vehicles while conducting 16 counter-narcotic strikes. The seized drugs comprised of 1522.48 Kg Hashish, 15.92 Kg Heroin, 6 Kg Opium, 4190x Xanax Tabs, 290 gram Methamphetamine and 6300 Liters Sulphuric Acid.
ANF Quetta conducted an intelligence based operation near Gurg Nulla, Turbat Panjgur Road, Turbat and intercepted 2x unattended Irani Zamyad Vehicles. During search 1500 Kg Hashish were recovered from the both vehicles. As per preliminary reports, drug was transported for handing over to another narcotics gang.
ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Motorcycle near Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza, GT Road, District Attock and recovered 2 Kg Opium from secret cavity of the said motorcycle. A person onboard namely Noor Muhammad resident of Peshawar was arrested on the spot. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Raheem Gul resident of Kurram Agency at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 1.780 Kg Hashish from his trolley bag. He was boarding for Qatar through Flight No QR-615. In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Toyota Corolla car near Motorway Toll Plaza, Islamabad and recovered 2 Kg Heroin which was concealed in side doors of the said vehicles. Two persons onboard namely Sohail Khan resident of Mianwali and Muhammad Awais resident of Faislabad were arrested on the spot. In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a UK bound consignment containing 193x cartons at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 3.160 Kg Heroin which was tactfully concealed in ladies suits. Resultantly an accused namely Aamir Rafique resident of Mirpur (AJK) was arrested during the operation. In fifth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Suzuki Pickup near Jandu Garran, Sangjani, Taxila, District Rawalpindi and recovered 140x Cans of Sulphuric Acid (H2SO4) weighing 6300 liter from the said vehicle. Resultantly an accused namely Muhammad Shahid resident of Khanewal was arrested during the operation.
ANF Lahore intercepted a UK bound parcel from a private courier office located at Johar Town, Lahore and recovered 4.1 Kg Heroin which was concealed in 16x ladies suits. In another operation, ANF Lahore intercepted 2x UK bound parcels from a private courier office located at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 1.350 Kg & 800 gram Heroin respectively which was tactfully concealed in baby jackets. In third operation, ANF Lahore arrested an accused namely Ahsan Ali resident of Gujrat at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 510 gram Heroin, 600 gram Hashish and 290 gram Methamphetamine from his trolley bag. He was boarding for Abu Dhabi through Flight No PA-410. In fourth operation, ANF Lahore recovered 3 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the two arrested accused persons namely Azeem Alias Chatni and Shafique Masih residents of Vehari. Both were arrested near Purana Lari Adda, Vehari. In fifth operation, ANF Lahore arrested an accused namely Allah Rakha near New Al-Madina Workshop, Purana Lari Adda, Vehari and recovered 1.5 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. In sixth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Suzuki Mehran car near Daewoo Terminal, Niazi Chowk, Khanewal and recovered 4 Kg Heroin from secret cavities of the said vehicle. A person onboard namely Muhammad Raheel resident of Peshawar was arrested on the spot.
ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Taufiq Gul resident of Charsadda at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 580x Xanax Tablets (weighing 75 grams) which was concealed tactfully concealed in his bag. He was boarding for Jeddah by Flight No SV-975. In another operation ANF Peshawar intercepted a Suzuki Mehran near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar and recovered 3.6 Kg Hashish which was concealed lying beneath the driving seat of the said car. Resultantly 3 persons onboard namely Anees Ahmed, Mamoon Ahmed Qazi and Osama Iftikhar Raja all residents of Rawalpindi were arrested during the operation. In third operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused person namely Wali Rehman resident of Khyber Agency at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 3610x Xanax Tablets (weighing 890 gram) which was concealed in his bag. He was boarding for Riyadh through flight No SV-793.
ANF Karachi conducted an intelligence based raid at Javed Plaza, Shireen Jinnah Colony, Karachi and recovered 4 Kg Opium and 12 Kg Hashish from a room located in the said plaza.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
