Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan on Thursday said that government has created two thousand new vacancies in the health sector during the last three years.
He made this assertion while addressing a ceremony held in connection with vaccination to children under the EPI Program.
Minister for Health Dr.Najeeb Naqqi, minister for Industries and Women Development Noreen Arif, Dr.Bushra Shamds also addressed to the ceremony.
Prime Minister told that more than three thousand ladies health workers were shifted to the normal budget.
”We activated the medical college and made its degree dignified.All political parties, civil society, and Ulmas should discourage all those who propagate against polio vaccination. To secure children against the disability for life vaccination is inevitable, ”he said.
He termed the children of SOS Village,of his own and assured that the government will contribute to the organization in bringing up the children.
He said he himself experienced the orphanage and it’s very painful when someone loses parents even he or she got facilities.
He expressed pleasure over the zero cases of polio in AJK urging that we should not take the situation easy, to prepare a healthy generation is essential that children must be vaccinated.
Dr.Najeeb Naqqi while addressing the audiences claimed that his department has brought practical change in the health sector.
The number of nurses has been doubled and free emergency service is being provided in ten districts and medical colleges have been affiliated with the University of Health Sciences. For the treatment of heart diseases approval of establishing special units in Muzaffarabad and Mirpur has been accorded, he said.
