BAHAWALPUR: Tehreek-e-Laabbaik Pakistan (TLP) candidate for National Assembly (NA) seat has been arrested in murder case of professor Khalid Hamid of Government SE College and 15 days physical remand of the accused Syed Zafar Gillani has also been obtained.
Sources said 5 persons were taken into custody from different cities including Kehrore Pakka, Rahim Yar Khan and D.G Khan in connection with investigation into murder case of professor Khalid Hamid.
According to police sources the under investigation persons were arrested through social media links.
Khatib Hussain, the student who had allegedly killed professor Khalid Hamid was in contact with Zafar Gillani a TLP candidate from NA-187. Zafar Gillani belongs to Layyah. Khatib Hussain remained in contact with Zafar Gillani through whats app a night before killing professor Khalid Zafar.
