MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir paid rich tributes here on Sunday to the political and national services of Khurshidul Hassan Khurshid.
In a statement the Premier said he was a daring, bold and courageous leader who worked with the founder of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. We are proud that a Kashmiri also has a hand in creating Pakistan, he added.
K.H. Khurshid was a man of principles and best human being who had great services for Kashmir liberation struggle, he stated.
Quaid-e-Azam during his visit to Kashmir selected Khurshid to work with him as private secretary. Khurshid through his hard work and commitment proved that Quaid’s selection was absolutely right.
“Khurshid was also in the forefront in democratic struggle in Pakistan. He also led the election campaign of Madar-e-Millat Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah” he said.
Mr. Haider said Khurshid played an instrumental role in getting the right for franchise to people of Jammu and Kashmir which would always be remembered.
Prime Minister asked the new generation to study the life of K.H. Khurshid and get guidance from it. He said Khurshid was great supporter of ideology of accession to Pakistan and strengthened the relation between AJK and Pakistan.
He was such an honest and unrighteous man that being President of AJK he was travelling through a coach when he breathed his last near Jhelum and there were only Rs. 37.00 in his pocket at the time of death.
