MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) A meeting on Thursday reviewed the problems faced to Kashmiri refugees settled in Pakistan, and refugees and bakarwals settled in AJK.

Minister for rehabilitation Raja Muhammad Siddique presided over the meeting while it was attended by member senior board Fayyaz Ali Abbasi, Secretary Board of Revenue, Commissioner and Additional Commissioner Rehabilitation and officers of different departments.

Addressing the meeting minister rehabilitation said as a good human being we should wholeheartedly work for welfare of humanity and also address the problems faced to Kashmiri refugees to ensure success here and hereafter.

He said refugees have been facing difficulties since 1947. He clarified that sustenance allowance is being given to Kashmiri refugees on 5th of every month instead of 20th earlier. He directed the officers to complete their work in time to provide maximum relief to the people and mitigate their suffering and difficulties.

The minister was of the view that property rights should be transferred to refugees free of charge. He said refugees settled in Pakistan should be issued state subject according to the laid down mechanism. He also expressed solidarity with armed forces of the country on behalf of the refugees and said our forces were known as the world’s best forces. He was delighted that our armed forces taught a lesson to India on resorting to misadventure against the country. He said people of Pakistan and AJK stand firmly behind our armed forces.
