Peshawar: Peshawar High Court Judge Justice Muhammad Ayub and his driver were injured in a firing incident.
According to SP Cantt Waseem Riaz some unknown armed masked men intercepted the vehicle of Peshawar High Court judge Muhammad Ayub in Hayat Abad phase 5 and opened fire from all four sides.
According to police, firing was done with Pistol and Kalashnikov , as a result judge PHC Muhammad Ayub and his driver sustained injuries that were rushed to nearby Hayat Abad medical complex for first aid.
Chief Justice Peshawar high court Waqar Ahmad Seth has visited Hayat Abad medical complex and inquired about the health of PHC judge Muhammad Ayub. He said that one bullet hit on arm of Justice Muhammad Ayub however his condition was out of danger.
He said he has ordered police for early arrest of the attackers besides investigating the incident soon and informing him about the investigation. .
On the other hand, K-P bar council has given a call of strike against firing at PHC judge.
They demanded that suspects should be arrested as soon as possible.
Balochistan Bar Council also gave call of boycott of courts proceedings all over province against firing at PHC judge.
