LAHORE: Accountability Court (AC) Lahore has declared Kamran Kiyani, brother of former army chief Gen (Retd) Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani, Director of Paragon City Housing Society Nadim Zia and others accused in A shiana Housing scandal as absconders.
On the plea of NAB, judge Najm ul Hassan of AC had declared 3 suspects absconders on January 10 besides directing NAB to get publish the arrest warrants of these three accused in news papers and filing report thereof before it on February 11.
It may be mentioned that NAB prosecutor Waris Ali Janjua had requested the court to initiate proceedings under sections 87 and 88 of criminal procedure so that Kamran Kiayani and others could be declared absconders.
It was said in NAB report that the warrants of the accused persons have not been presented because their homes have been found locked.
The court on the plea of NAB and report declared the three accused absconders.
The court has summoned opposition leader in National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif on February 18 in the aforesaid case.
NAB presented before the court three suspects including former principal secretary of Prime Minister Fawad Hassan Fawad, former Director General of Lahore Development Authority Ahad Khan Cheema and Shahid Shafiq of Bismillah Engineering during the hearing of the case.
