Rawalpindi: District Sports Department Rawalpindi (SDR) has planned to organize Inter- Madaris Tape Ball Cricket Contest for the students of religious institutions which will be commenced from Thursday in the Cricket Ground of Muslim Higher Secondary School, Saidpur Road, Rawalpindi.
In this connection 12 teams of Deeni Madaris including Jamia Furkania Kohati Bazar, Jamia Sirajia Asghar Mall Chowk, Madrisa Ali Ibne Abi Talib, Madrisa Dar ul Quran National Market, Jamia Islamia Saddar, Jamia Arabia Islamia Gulistan Colony and Jamia Aloom Alshria Bakery Chowk would participate in first Tape Ball Cricket Tournament. The event has been organized under the directions of DC, Rawalpindi, Omer Jehnagir, who had issued instructions to District Sports Departemnt to make elaborate arrangements and provide opportunities to religious students to actively participate in different sports discipline. District Sports Officer Abdul Waheed Babar informed that arrangements has been finalized with the assistance of DO (Education) Aamir Iqbal Khan and Focal Person Raja Tahir. He informed that Addl. Commissioner Rawalpindi, Tariq Salam Marwat, would be the chief guest of final of Tape Ball Cricket Tournament and would award prizes to the winners
