Rawalpindi: Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar on Saturday said Indian Prime Minister Modi has been pursuing anti-Muslim and anti-Pakistan policy and in such situation repeated dialogue offers are against the national honor and dignity.
He said this while talking to media in Rawalpindi. The former interior minister said Pakistan is already under the burden of foreign loans and taking more loans from friend countries would further complicate the economic situation in the country.
Regarding internal political situation, Chaudhry Nisar said that he had barred the PML-N government to not engage itself in confrontation with Judiciary and Army, adding that if his advised had been accepted the PML-N will be ruling the country again.
Expressing his views on underway process of accountability, the former interior minister said the ongoing accountability is killer of accountability and the PTI government should remove reservations and concerns of the opposition parties.
Nisar maintained that he never compromise on principles, adding if he did so he would be enjoy the government. He said the country needs political stability, adding the ongoing accountability is not transparent. He said, “The institutions should adopt in discriminatory accountability for both the government and opposition leaders.”
The former interior minister said the country needs accountability but discriminatory accountability is poison. He said, “The ongoing accountability is not transparent. The way being applied on opposition leaders is not being applied on the government ministers.”
Chaudhry Nisar said opposition is not only the name of Nawaz, Shehbaz, and Zardari but all opposition parties. He said when reservations of the opposition parties will be removed the whole nation will be witnessed.
He said no one has objection on accountability but the procedure adopted by the government to hold opposition leaders accountable. He said the government can remove opposition reservations and if it didn’t remove the accountability will be considered revenge. He added institutions hold leaders accountable not the government.
Senior political leader said the accountability is being done on the cases filed in 2015 but the PTI government always accepts responsibility which is a dangerous business. He said when the government owns decision it make the accountability process controversial.
Nisar said no country can smoothly run its affairs without opposition and if the government and opposition have no consensus it would not be good for accountability and the country. The former MNA said no country can develop without political stability and currently the country faces serious political crisis.
The former interior minister said after opening Kartarpur corridor, repeated government’s offers to India for dialogue is against the Prime Minister’s own stance that its matter of dignity and honour of the Pakistani nation.
He is against one sided dialogue offers and considers against country’s respect and dignity. On a question regarding his oath of provincial assembly, Chaudhry Nisar said there is no restriction in the law. He, however, said he didn’t take decision whether he is taking oath or not.
He said how he can accept that he had been lost his National Assembly seat from the difference of thousands of votes and won provincial assembly seat from 40,000 votes. He said he never bag for provincial assembly seat but for national assembly. How it had been happened that he had won for provincial seat not national assembly seat from the same tehsils.
