NEW YORK: A section of Coney Island Avenue in the area of Brooklyn New York has been named after Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The resolution for attributing road of Coney Island Avenue to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was adopted on December 26 in New York council. The resolution was floated by Jumaane Williams a member of New York Council Brooklyn which was passed with heavy majority vote.
Jumaane said on the occasion “we are happy over this decision. This is a gift for Pakistanis too besides Pakistani-American community.
The announcement for naming the road after Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was made by Wakil Ahmad, president Pakistani-American Youth Organization.
