ISLAMABAD: Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) has decided to scale up service charges in order to increase its revenue.
Earlier MCI administration has increased property taxes and conservancy charges by 100 percent, water charges for domestic consumers, 100 percent and water charges for commercial consumers by 200 percent. Now MCI has decided to enhance charges on the services provided to the citizens.
MCI has constituted a 5-member committee under Chairman Chaudhry Azhar Mehmood in this regard. The other members of this committee are Chairman Adil Aziz Qazi, Syed Azhar Ahmad Shah, Raja Sheeraz Kiani and Tanvir Hussain Qazi. Director DMA will be secretary of this committee. The committee will hold its meeting daily and present its weekly report on the matter related to enhancement in service charges to administration .
