MIRPUR (AJK): In Azad Jammu & Kashmir, brisk preparations are underway to celebrate the 142nd birthday of father of the nation – Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on 25th of December with great enthusiasm, devotion and respect.
Elaborated programs are being chalked out by various social, political, governmental and non-governmental organizations and forums in various parts of AJK to pay rich tributes to the founder of Pakistan, born on December 25, 1876, organizers said here Friday.
It would be state holiday throughout Azad Jammu Kashmir on this occasion.
The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for the integrity, solidarity and prosperity of Pakistan and AJK, freedom of all occupied Muslim homelands including occupied Jammu Kashmir from the Indian yoke.
In Mirpur major ceremony to celebrate the birth anniversary of the father of the nation will be hosted under the auspices of Jammu Kashmir Liberation League, founded by the first private secretary of Quaid e Azam and ex President of AJK (Late) K. H. Khursheed at local Hotel Jabeer at 4.00 p.m on December 25, the JKLL President Justice (Retd) Abdul Majeed Mallick told APP here on Friday.
Speakers comprising leading personalities representing all walks of life, will pay glorious tributes to the great founder of Pakistan in acknowledgement of his great job of creating separate homeland of the Muslims of the subcontinent, through his untiring life-time struggle, that led to the emergence of Pakistan, Justice Mallick, the retired Chief Justice of AJK HIgh Court said while unveiling the details of the capacious program to celebrate the birthday ceremony wherein 142nd birthday cake would be cut to mark the anniversary.
Another grand ceremony to pay glorious tributes to father of the nation will be held under the auspices of Markazi Anjuman e Tajran (Ittehad Group), the City’s renowned traders body with the coordination of various social and political organization to pay rich tributes to father of the nation for his life-time services for the accomplishment of the dream of the emergence of separate homeland of the Muslims of the sub-continent – Pakistan, the organization’s President Ch. Mahmood Ahmed told the agency here on Friday. “A grand Quaid’s birthday cake will be cut in the special ceremony to mark the birth anniversary”, he added.
Similar special ceremonies to celebrate the birthday of Quaid-e-Azam will be held in all ten district and their subordinate tehsil headquarters of Azad Jammu Kashmir under the auspices of various social, political and intellectual organizations to celebrate this day with full zeal and fervor.
Speakers including leading scholars, politicians, lawyers and senior journalists will pay glorious tributes to the founder of Pakistan besides highlighting his hectic life, ideas and achievements – which led to the emergence of the separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent.
