RAWALPINDI: Under the special directives of government, district administration has slapped ban on inter transfer of plots in private housing societies in district Rawalpindi.
According to media reports, government has started charging 5 percent stamp duty as penalty to the societies which have done inter transfer of plots.
A sum of Rs 26 million has been recovered from these societies and the target is likely to reach Rs 250 million. 1120 challans have also been issued so far on the report of inter-transfer of plots.
This move will help regularize all housing societies.
