ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has met his brother and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif at ministers enclosure in Islamabad Wednesday.
According to details, both PML-N leaders reviewed consultation on adopting joint strategy with opposition parties. Shehbaz Sharif also took Nawaz Sharif into confidence over contacting opposition parties.
The also discussed ongoing political situation in the country and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) cases against Khawaja brothers, PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Salman Rafique, who were arrested on December 11 in the Paragon Housing Society scam case.
It is pertinent here to mention that NAB has extended Shehbaz Sharif’s transit remand of Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif in Ashiana Housing scam.
According to details, the decision was taken on the request of Kot Lakhpat Jail’s superintendent who asked the court to extend the remand of ex-Punjab chief minister until the conclusion of assembly session.
On December 6, accountability court had sent Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president to Kot Lakhpat jail on judicial remand after his previous physical remand ended.
