ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has lodged protest with Afghanistan on delay in handing over body of slain SP Tahir Dawar.
“Afghan chargé d’affaires in Pakistan was summoned and protest was recorded on horrendous murder of SP Dawar in Afghanistan and Pakistan has asked to transfer SP Dawar body to Pakistan consulate. Pakistan has demanded for soon transferring his body”, this was said by Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal during his weekly press briefing in FO here Thursday.
He expressed his grief over brutal murder of SP Tahir Khan.
About Indian provocations FO Spokesperson said Indian occupation forces martyred 4 innocent Kashmiris in Held Kashmir in last week. The martyred persons included orphans as well.
He called upon international community to take notice of Indian barbarity in Kashmir and play its role for stopping these atrocities.
Pakistan has strongly condemned Kashmiri leader Asiya Andrabi detention in TIhar jail.
Expressing reaction on the matter of Aafia Siddiqui FO said Pakistan consulate had met Dr Aafia for 12 time during the last three months in Huston. We are in constant contact with US government on Dr Aafia issue. Foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has met Dr Fouzia Siddiqui sister of Dr Aafia Siddiqui in ministry of foreign affairs.
He stated the matter of Dr Aafia Siddiqui was discussed during US deputy state minister Alice Wales visit to Pakistan.
Responding to a question he said Pakistan is in contact with Chinese authorities on the issue of Chinese wives of Pakistani citizens and we are striving to address the issue.
During briefing he told that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan along with delegation will undertake visit of Malaysia on November 20 and 21 and will meet Mahatir MOhammad.
He said Pakistan participated in conference on Afghan process in Russia.
Kit maybe mentioned that SP Tahir Dawar went missing in the area G-10 in Islamabad and his body was found in Afghan province Nangarhar two days back.
