Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Convener All Parties Hurriyat Conference (Pak chapter) Syed Faiz Naqshbandi and Executive Member Syed Ajaz Rehmani called on
Member European Parliament Amjad Bashir here on Thursday.
During the meeting the APHC leaders briefed the visiting parliamentarian about the prevailing political and human rights situation in Indian held territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The APHC leaders said that the Indian forces were using lethal Pellet Guns against peaceful protesters in Kashmir. As a result they said that thirty thousand civilians mostly the youth have been injured and more than one thousand have lost eye sight permanently.
“Arbitrary arrest and enforced disappearances has become order of the day in occupied Kashmir. Now Indian forces are using chemical weapons against civilians”, they said adding that Indian government was not giving any access to NGOs or journalists, even don’t allow UN teams visit to Occupied Jammu and Kashmir as requested by High Commissioner for Human Rights Geneva.
This situation they said has drastically increased human rights violations in the occupied territory. Speaking on the occasion MEP Amjad Bashir has shown concern on deteriorating situation of human rights in IOK. APHC leaders also appreciated the European union for their impartiality and in particular the efforts of Mr. Amjad Bashir.
