Islamabad: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government on Monday told the Senate session that speaking against corruption at international forum improves country credibility not decreases its prestigious.
It was also told that the government didn’t increase prices of petroleum products; however, it was working to improve tax net in the country. It was further told that the country export has increased up to 4.1 per cent.
The PTI government borrowed foreign loans worth $330 million and the previous debits were from $8,000 to $28,000. It was added that interim government also borrowed loan of 200 million to run the affairs.
PML-N Senator Mushaidullah Khan while strongly criticizing Prime Minister Imran Khan foreign visits said no one would have seen a beggar like Imran Khan who before his visit announces that he is going to bag for money.
The PML-N senior leader said the government belongs to well and wisdom not to Junoon. It is being said that the three days sit-in cost over Rs150 billion damage whereas the PTI while making a sit-in of 126 days put the country into financial crunch.
Khan said after that the government had to sign accord with the protestors. He said, “How yesterday friends become today’s enemies.” He said when the PTI was on ‘dhrana’ Shah Mehmood Qureshi was used to sit in the camp and says Pakistan is washing their Chinese cloths.
He said no leader of the country in the world said at foreign tours that our country has corruption. He said the world while granting loans review the leader’s credibility.
Senator Faisal Javed said the government has to counter the growing extremism in the country. He said that the government was taking action against corrupt elements in the country on public demand.
Senator Sitar Ayaz said she hopes Senate environment will not be victim of janoon. She said it seems like the PTI government is the government of baggers.
