RAWALPINDI: RCB’s Trade License Branch officials over the past one month have issued 682 notices to the shopkeepers running their businesses without trade licenses in its areas.
According to spokesman, the authorities have taken action in accordance with the law against non trade license holders and asked them to get their licenses renewed without any further delay. Qaisar Mehmood the spokesman of the RCB said that the RCB officials have so far issued 512 licenses to different traders and collected a revenue of 1.3 million rupee.
On the other hand RCB, Foods Branch officials have inspected 25 Food Points in different areas including Sadar, Peshawar Road, Allabad areas out of which 14 food points were issued show cause notices for substandard cleanliness arrangements and operating without licenses. Moreover, 16 food samples were collected from different eateries and sent to laboratory for test.
Meanwhile, RCB has also confiscated four truckload goods from different markets in its operation against encroachments. According to RCB spokesman Qasir Mahmood, encroachments had been removed from Saddar, Peshawar Road, Peerwadai Mor, Kacha Stop, Dhoke syedan and 22 number areas. Handcarts, counters and other items of encroachers were confiscated. He informed that the raids were being conducted against encroachers on daily basis.
