“Regains control over 167 Kanal land amounting to Rs. 1278 Million<" Islamabad: (PR) National Highway Authority has removed encroachments from its Right-of-Way (ROW) throughout the country. Under 75 Day Action Plan, a total of 3131 locations are being cleared from encroachments. Till now, encroachments from 2080 locations have been removed. According to details, 327 locations in D.I.Khan, 20 in Hyderabad, 59 in Multan, 99 in Bahawalpur, 425 in Rahimyar Khan, 42 in Wazirabad, 197 in Lahore and 811 locations in Rawalpindi and from Islamabad – Murree Dual Carriageway (IMDCW) have been recouped from encroachers. Resultantly 167 Kanal land is recaptured amounting to Rs. 1278 Million. Anti Encroach drive will continue by December 09, 2018. Chairman NHA Mr. Jawwad Rafique Malik is personally supervising this drive to make it successful.
