ISLAMABAD: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad has accepted pleas from President Arif Alvi, Pervez Khattak, Shafqat Mehmood and Jahangir Tareen for exemption from attendance in the court for one day in PTV, Parliament attack case.
The case came up for hearing before ATC Islamabad headed by duty judge Shah Rukh Arjumand Monday.
The court also issued notices on the applications filed by Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Omar and Ejaz Chaudhry seeking their acquittal from the case.
PTI counsel Babar Awan appeared in the court and filed the petitions of acquittal in the court in respect of Shah Mehmood Qureshi,, finance minister Asad Omar and Ejaz Chaudhry
The court issued not ices to federation on these acquittal petitions.
The petitions seeking acquittal of Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi could not be heard being duty judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi on leave.
