Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) A book ‘Lon Lon Wich Udeeq’ by Irfan Sadiq based poetry has been launched under auspices of literary organization Harf-o-Awaz in collaboration with Rawalpindi Arts Council.
The ceremony was presided over by senior poet and intellectual Prof Dr Ehsan Akbar and Ali Akbar Abbas was chief guest while anchored by Sadia Kamal. Patron in chief of Harf-o-Awaz Dr Nisar Turabi in his welcome address congratulated Irfan Sadiq on his new book and termed it good addition in Punjabi literature. Addressing at the occasion, Dr Ehsan Akbar said that book ‘Lon Lon Wich Udeeq’ fulfilled all requirements of modern poetry.
Ali Akbar Abbas said that Irfan Sadiq has prominent place in his contemporary poets. Hassan Ababs Raza, Saleem Akhtar, Dr Sher Ali, Dr Fozia Sahar, Farkhanda Shamim, Dr Shuja Agha and Pervaiz Malik also highlighted important features of the book and threw light on the personality of Irfan Sadiq. Irfan is Lahore based author of four books in Urdu and one book in Punjab based on poetry. The poet also shared his experiences about the book
