Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) 201st Birth Anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was celebrated on 17th October 2018, at Govt.Viqar- un-Nisa Post Graduate college for women, Rawalpindi. Prof. Dr. Saira Mufti was Guest of Honor on the occasion.
Sir Syed Ahmed Khan (1817-1898) was an Indian Muslim pragmatist, Islamic reformist, Renaissance Philosopher of 19th century British India and the first who coined the term, “Two Nation theory”. He believed in intellectual development of the Muslims through modern and scientific education. He is known as father of Muslim modernization in South Asia. He firmly believed that Muslim would not progress the without the acquisition of western education.
