Islamabad: Mr. Shakir Ullah and Mr. Muhammad Shah Zaman both have completed their Ph.D in the department of Plant Genomics & Biotechnology (PGB) at RC Institute of PARC Advanced Studies in Agriculture (PIASA) NARC”.
Mr. Shakir Ullah has completed his Ph.D under the supervision of Dr. Aish Muhammad, Principal Scientific Officer, NIGAB, NARC and his research topic was “Diversity of Apricot Cultivars in Gilgat Baltistan Based on Morphological and Genetic Analysis”. Whereas Mr. Muhammad Shah Zaman has completed his Ph.D under the supervision of Dr. Iqbal Hussain, Sr. Scientific Officer, NIGAB, NARC and his research topic was “Incorporation of AtNHX1 Gene for Salinity and Drought Tolerance in Potato (Solanum tuberosum L).
Producing Ph.D Scholars is a great achievement of Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), signifying that PIASA is literary working for the development of the Country in Agriculture Sector.
