ISLAMABAD: (Parliament Times) People of Jammu and Kashmir are fighting for the survival and stability of Pakistan.
These observations were made by AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan while addressing the condolence reference of Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan here on Thursday. Although all political forces are on one page but they should intensify their efforts at international front for resolution of long pestering conflict of Jammu and Kashmir, he remarked.
The Premier said that India has nefarious designs of withholding the water to barren the lands of Pakistan. People of Jammu and Kashmir are also offering sacrifices owing to the environmental hazards arising out of Neelum Jhelum hydropower project, he maintained. He reiterated that Pakistan is the real goal of Kashmiris and the entire state of J&K after its complete liberation would be acceded to it.
Paying rich tributes to the contribution of former Kashmir Committee Chairman and Baba-e-Jamhooriat Nawabzada Nasrullah Mr. Haider said he knew the art of how to gather even his enemies on one platform. “Nawabzada started his political career in 1935 and always believed in convincing others with the force of logics. He (Haider) travelled to foreign countries with him when the latter was chairman of Kashmir Committee. His efforts for holding all party conferences on Kashmir were commendable. Kashmiris of both divides are highly thankful to him for his contribution” he said. He also recited a poem on Kashmir of Nawabzadullah Nasrullah.
The Prime Minister said the entire political leadership of Pakistan is respectable for Kashmiris and he expects Prime Minister Imran Khan to take all political forces including opposition with him on Kashmir issue.
Meanwhile Mr. Haider also talked telephonically to senior APHC leader Muhammad Yasin Malik and enquired about his health. He said that APHC leaders are passing through very tough time due to Kashmir liberation struggle. Their sacrifices in freedom struggle are unparalleled, he noted. He said people of Azad Kashmir assure their unswerving support to the Hurriyat leaders in their mission of complete liberation from Indian yoke
