Rawlalpindi: Food Branch officials of Rawalpindi Cantonment Board on Tuesday visited different areas of the city including Tenchbata, Dhamial Road and Sadar and took strong notice of substandard cleanliness at different point points/eateries.
According to a press release a fine of Rupees three thousand was slapped on Masha-All Juice Center, six thousand on FC Restaurant, five thousand on Rahat Café & Restaurant, three thousand each on Dawn Bakers, The Dawn Bakers, Simla Bakers and Anokha Sweets, whereas, a fine of five thousand rupee each was slapped on Gilgit Hotel and Shahroz Cafe and Barbeque for poor cleanliness. Moreover the officials of the food department took samples of 28 edible items from different food points and sent them for formal test in the laboratory. Show cause notices have also been issued to the owners for substandard cleanliness and operating without proper licenses.
Meanwhile, during its anti-Encroachment Drive the Cantonment Board officials have ceased 7 trucks of different items from vendors who had setup their stalls illegally on roads and pathways in different markets of Sadar, Peshawar Road, Bank Road, Naseerabad, Pirwadai and surrounding areas of the city. The officials also ceased the banners and posters which were illegally pasted/fixed at public places.
