Cairo: A 2-day CPEC dialogue and trade summit has been inaugurated in Cairo to mark 70th anniversary of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Egypt.
The conference was hosted by the South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI) that aims to highlight the benefits of mutual collaboration and explore how the two countries can benefit China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Director General SASSI inaugurated the conference.
Federal Minister for Planning and Development Khusro Bakhtiar, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Egypt, Mushtaq Ali Shah, Egyptian minister for planning Hala-al-Saeed and others were present on the occasion.
The conference further aims to highlight the benefits of mutual collaboration and explore how the two countries can capitalise on opportunities presented by Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and CPEC.
Speaking at the summit Kusro Bakhtiar said The Belt and Road Initiative will connect 70 countries with each other and Egypt can benefit itself from it.
The Egptian Government meanwhile assured Pakistan of its cooperation in connection with CPEC.
Minister for Planning and Administrative Reforms Hala-al- Saeed of Egypt meanwhile said that their country will take advantages from CPEC and will cooperate with Pakistan.
