MIRPUR (AJK): PTI AJK Chief and former Prime Minister Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry said here on Friday that he has talked to foreign minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi over telephone and apprised him of the reign of state terrorism and violence, unleashed by the Indian occupational forces against the innocent people in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Talking Azad Kashmir Radio Mirpur’s Special Correspondent Ali Akhter Saleem here yesterday, Barrister Sultan said that he has also requested to the foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi to take up the urgency of the early peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue in the forthcoming United Nations General Assembly session in New York.
India, the Kashmiri leader said, is depriving the people of Jammu & Kashmir their birth right of self determination through the might of her military power letting the reign of terror and brutalities since over last seven decades.
To a question, Barrister Sultan said that the foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi reiterated the resolve that Pakistan will affectively represent the sentiments of the Kashmiri brethren in the U N general assembly’s meeting.
The President of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf AJK said that the foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi further told him that Pakistan fully stands upon its unequivocal stance that it (Pakistan) would continue the moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Jammu & Kashmir in their just and principled struggle for freedom and right to self determination.
