Islamabad: Police Station Koral freed an accused involved in a theft case after taking bribe, and harassing the victim. Koral Police Station Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Zafar Iqbal, after meeting with accused mother, started harassment of victim and denied to lodge an FIR.
According to details, the resident of Khanna Dak Malik Zakir has given an application to SP Rural Liaqat Hayat Niazi that in my absence Ubaid and his friends stole gold jewelry, currency and other valuables. Applicant stated that the incident was observed by the residents, but police denied to lodge an FIR, due to influence of accused’s mother.
When “Online” contacted with concerned police officers to probe the issue, they denied any settlement between accused and police, Zafar Iqbal said that I have no ties with accused and FIR would be registered once the accused would be arrested.
