KARACHI/ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain and acting governor Sindh Agha Siraj Durrani have summoned National Assembly (NA) session and Sindh Assembly (SA) session on August 13.

Care taker Chief Minister (CM) Sindh Fazl ur Rehman had sent summary to acting governor Sindh for summoning SA whereby it was proposed to call the session on August 12 or 13.

The acting governor Sindh while accepting care taker CM Sindh summary has summoned SA on August 13.

Newly elected members of SA will take oath followed by election of speaker and deputy speaker in this session. The chief minister however will be elected in the assembly session to be summoned after August, 14.

The newly elected Members of National Assembly (MNAs) will be administered oath by speaker NA in August 13 maiden session of national assembly. Following oath taking ceremony, election of speaker and deputy speaker and leader of the house will take place.

PTI has nominated Imran Khan for the office of leader of the house. On the other hand opposition has nominated Mian Shahbaz Sharif as their joint candidate for the leader of opposition.

Opposition has nominated Syed Khurshid Shah for the post of speaker.

KP Assembly speaker has summoned the session of provincial assembly on Monday. Newly elected members of KP assembly will take oath followed by election of speaker, deputy speaker and chief minister of the province.
