Rawalpindi: Second phase of new admissions in all schools of Punjab including Rawalpindi will commence from August 15 and end on October 31.
During this phase focus will be on admissions in primary and middle classes. Advisory has been issued to give more and more priority to admissions of girls. The new target for admissions throughout Punjab of girls and boys is five million. In this new phase local body representatives, MNAs and MPAs will admit girls and boys who are out of schools in their respective areas. Admissions are completely free whereas all the newly admitted children will get books, copies, school bags and uniforms free of cost. The newly admitted girls in the schools of rural areas will get Rs.800 as monthly stipend.
The heads of schools will launch a door to door campaign for admissions in schools by visiting their respective streets and mohallahs. They are supposed to submit new admission data on daily basis to the Secretary Education.
