Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has decided to establish a permanent craft bazar in Nawaz Sharif Park in cooperation with Rawalpindi Arts Council. In this regard meeting was held at Rawalpindi Arts Council under chairmanship of DG PHA Saif Anwar accompanied by Director RAC Waqar Ahmed in which 15 artisans from Rawalpindi participated and gave valuable suggestions. DG PHA Saif Anwar addressing at the occasion said that aim to establish craft bazar is to provide respectable livelihood for the artisans. He said that state of art stalls would be made to attract the visitors while besides craft bazar a small auditorium will also be built as training institution. Director RAC Waqar Ahmed also told the participants that Punjab Arts Council under dynamic leadership of its Executive Director Saman Rai has initiated different plans for well-being of artisans. Senior artisan Hafeez Nasir, Fozia Naheed, Ejaz Mughal,Muahmamd Kaleem, Aziz ur Rehman, Sadaf Nisar, Irfan Ghulam Nabi, Mehmood Ali, Ghulam Hussain, Mukhtar Dar, Liaqat Hussain and Sajjad Ahmed attended the meeting.
