Karachi: Former provincial Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) leader Nasir Hussain shah on Tuesday said that Syed Murad Ali Shah will be the next Chief Minister of Sindh.
Talking to media at Karachi Press Club, he said the PPP had disagreement with Muttehida Qoumi Movement (MQM) on the latter’s province demand and “ we will not talk to them until they withdraw their demand”.
He said the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would soon announce different development projects for Karachi in addition to the ongoing projects.
Shah termed the July 25 elections “ rigged”, and “ manipulated”, especially in Lyari, where the PPP Chairman suffered a defeat.
“Election in Lyari was totally rigged, and we outrightly reject that”, Shah said and added “ Lyari is and will remain the PPP’s stronghold”.
Despite the irregularities and rigging, the PPP accepted the election results in the best interest of the country and democracy.
Answering a question about money laundering allegations against former President Asif zardari, and his sister, he alleged that some FIA officers were targeting the PPP leadership because of their personal vendetta .
Shah questioned the timing of reopening of a case, which, according to him, had already been probed in 2013 . “This action is aimed at targeting PPP leadership ,” he added.
