Islamabad : Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) has decided not to invite foreign dignitaries to oath-taking ceremony.

As per media reports, PTI’s spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry said in his statement that “The PTI chairman has directed to hold the oath taking event with austerity,”
“He will take his oath in a simple ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr [President House],” the spokesperson said.
“It has been decided that no foreign dignitaries will be invited to the ceremony — it will be a completely national event. Only a few close friends of Imran Khan will be invited. There will be no show of extravagance at the event,” Mr. Chaudhry said.
Earlier PTI’s spokesperson Chaudhry confirmed that PTI had asked Foreign Ministry about inviting the heads of state of different countries to oath-taking ceremony.
Following its emergence as a single largest party in National Assembly, Prime Minister-in-waiting Imran Khan has invited Bollywood star Amir Khan, former Indian Capitan Kapil Dev and elegant batsman Sunil Gawaskar to his oath-taking ceremony.
Regarding invitations Indian former cricketer and Punjab Cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has said, “It’s a great honor for me. I accept the invitation by Imran Khan for attending his swearing-in ceremony as Prime Minister.”
“I will participate in the oath-taking ceremony as a cricketer & politician”, he further added.
