Rawalpindi: Former Prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who is currently serving a 10 year imprisonment at Adiala Prison in connection with Avenfield References, has taken up development initiative inside the prison facility to aid fellow prisoners.
Earlier, he reportedly visited parts of Adiala jail and heard the woes of prisoners. He asked the Jail Superintendent to provide him the list of inmates who were still in jail even after completion of their prison term as they were unable to afford fines. The Ex-PM then announced to pay fines for them.
The Ex-PM has instructed his team to build eight shades in front of the lockups as inmates were forced to endure severe sunlight.
In order to cope with water shortage problem in the Adiala Prison he has decided to drill several water wells.
