“Top 20 position-holding students belong to the private-sector schools”

MIRPUR (AJK): July 19: Both genders (male and female students) almost equally emerged victorious as two of the top three positions were equally clinched by either gender in the annual matriculation examination – (Part II Composite 2018) held under the auspices of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Mirpur as two of top three positions were equally secured by both girls and boys students in the examination across the AJK State.
The AJK Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education here Thursday announced the results of the annual secondary school certificate (Matriculation) examination Part-II composite 2018) held under the auspices of the Board.
The male students remained atop by securing two of three top positions in the examination with exceptional distinctions in the overall results. All the top 20 positions-holding students belong to the private-sector schools in various parts of AJK including Mirpur district. Not a single government-sector school could secure any visible position in the examination across AJK. This fact is self-explanatory of the extremely poor performance of the public-sector educational institutions in Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
“A total of 43158 candidates, both boys and girls students, out of a total of 61333 candidates have qualified the annual Secondary School Certificate examination 2018 held under the auspices of the AJK BISE”, declared Mrs. Anjum Afshaan Naqvi, Chairperson AJK BISE, while unveiling the first top 20 positions holding candidates appeared in the examination here Thursday morning.
“The overall results of the annual matriculation composite examination – 2018, held under the auspices of AJK BISE, remained 70.43 percent, the Chairperson AJK BISE said.
Unveiling break up of the results, the Controller Examination (Schools) said that those passed the examination included 36772 regular and 6386 private candidates. He said that a total of 61333 candidates appeared in the examination of which a total of 43158 candidates passed the examination. Thus the overall result of the entire Board remained 70.43 percent. Whereas the overall result of regular candidates remained 82.43 percent and the overall result of private candidates remained 39.13 percent, he added.
Unveiling the names of the first top three positions-holding students in the overall examination, the Chairperson AJK BISE said that Baber Hussain s/o Ghulam Hussain
(Roll No. 125181) of Read Foundation High School Choki, Samani District Bhimbher, secured first position in entire board in the examination by bagging 1068 marks out of total of 1100 marks. Similarly Ms. Nitasha Fayeq Abbasi d/o Khaleeq ur Rehman Abbasi (Roll No. 108362) of Read Foundation High School Kuls Pujhey, District Bagh and Farhan Khan s/o Muhammad Shahid Khan (Roll No. 130739) of Read Foundation Dabastan Sardar Bahader Ali Khan School & College Kharak, Poonch secured 2ndposition in entire Board securing 1077 out of 1100 marks each.
Likewise Irm Naz d/o Muhammad Rafique, (Roll No. 105789) of Fatima tuz Zohra Girls High School Kotli and Fiza Hayat d/o Khizer Hayat (Roll No. 111949) of Alghazi Science College Tararkheil (District Sudhanoti) equally secured 3rd position in entire Board examination securing 1075 out of total of 1100 marks each in the exam.
The entire result is also be available on the web-site of AJK BISE – http://www.ajkbise.net. Besides the results could also be obtained through SMS from all net works of cellular phones except Warid writing Roll number AJK – and send on 5050.
The result cards of regular candidates have been sent to the heads of their respective colleges. Whereas the result cards of the private candidates have been sent through registered mail on their respective addresses. The result of the candidates, against whom the arrears of the admission fee were lying, have been delayed. But will be released on removal of the objections on submission of application with fee for Rs. 600/- within 30 daysfrom the date of announcement of the results.
The admission forms to appear in the supplementary secondary school examinartion-2018 could be submitted by the stipulated last date with single fees.
