Bradford UK: Jammu Kashmir Self Determination Movement International (JKSDMI) Team, after observing Kashmir Martyrs Week in July, which started 6th July and continued until 13th, visited some of the major cities in the UK including Manchester, Bradford, Birmingham, London and Oldham, raising the voices of the suffering Kashmiris and paid tributes to the martyrs, as well as commemorating the 3rd death anniversary of the Legendary Kashmiri Leader Mujahid E Awal Sardar Mohammed Abdul Qayyum Khan (late).
Every one of our events was attended by the MPs, MEPs, Councillors & Community leaders from all walks of life, except in Birmingham on Sunday 8th July, on the 2nd death anniversary of Burhan Muzzafar Wani Shaheed, which was organised in the Church of Scientology, an International NGO working in 80 Countries of the World.
Three great achievements by JKSDMI in these events were agreement between JKSDMI and the Church of Scientology to work together on the Kashmir issues Internationally.
Raja Najabat Hussain Chairman JKSDMI was honoured by the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Kashmir in the British parliament by the Chairman Chris Leslie MP, Deputy Chairman Jack Brereton MP, Chairman Conservative Friends of Kashmir, Vice Chairman Barrister Imran Hussain MP, Lord Qurban Hussain, Faisal Rashid MP and Graham Jones MP along with Barrister Shazada Hayat & Alderman Mushtaq Ahmed Lasharie by presenting a ‘House of Commons Sheild’ along with a Certificate of appreciation from a British NGO at House of Commons London
Third achievement is the news which was given by Wajid Khan MEP, member Foreign Affairs and Human Rights Committee of European parliament, that European parliament’s Human Rights Committee will start an hearing on Human Rights Violations in the Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir after September 2018.
JKSDMI women’s Team played a special role in the organisation of all the events. Jammu Kashmir Self Determination Movement International Team has planned the August activities starting on Monday 6th August from Luton Town Hall with a Kashmir Conference with the Mayors, Councillors, professionals and women’s groups, including MPs & MEPs from South of England.
Our Second event will be a Business & Tourism Conference in London with Kashmiri & Pakistani Community on the evening of 7th August 2018.
Dinner reception in Honour of MPs, MEPs, Lord Mayors, Councillors and Community leaders in Sheffield for South Yorkshire Region.
Dinner reception by Jack Brereton MP & with his team of Conservative Friends of Kashmir (CFoK) in Stoke on Trent on Thursday 9th August will be attended by the conservative MPs, MEPs, councillors and community Leaders.
Friday 10th August special conference will take place in Nottingham supported by Chris Leslie MP, Chairman APPG on Kashmir in the British parliament and others in the East Midland, including representatives from all walks of life.
August 11th & 12th the Team will make a trip to Scotland and meet with the local politicians and Community leaders, including a visit of the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh.
Kashmir Self Determination Conference will take place in Birmingham on Monday 13th August at 6pm till 9pm with the support of Anthea McIntyre MEP Chairperson Friends of Kashmir in the European parliament.
Pakistan Day Celebrations will be attended in Birmingham on Tuesday 14th August at the flag hoisting ceremony, and an evening dinner in Rochdale Town Hall with the Mayor of Rochdale Cllr Mohammad Zaman along with Cllr. Asim Rashid, Chairman Pakistani & Kashmiri Councillors Forum North West of England.
Wednesday 15th August Youth Conference will be held in Leeds Civic Hall Council Chamber from 12 noon until 5pm, and an evening dinner in Bradford with the support of Shadow Justice Minister Barrister Imran Hussain MP, Shadow Equalies Minister Naz Shah MP and Team JKSDMI, attended by Yorkshire MPs, MEPs, councillors and community leaders.
We are planning to invite the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Muhammed Farooq Khan and other dignitaries from Pakistan & Azad Kashmir.
JKSDMI Chairman Raja Najabat Hussain is planning to take a delegation of both UK and EU parliamentarians during the last week of August to Azad Kashmir & Pakistan, allowing them to experience first-hand that what is going on in the region.
We may make slight changes from time to time, but are committed to hold maximum activities in August both in the UK and Europe.
