Islamabad: Pakistan supports reconciliatory efforts for peace in Afghanistan and it is obligation of all stake holders to bring Afghan Taliban and Afghan government to negotiation table.
“Pakistan supports all the steps in connection with reconciliation process in its neighbouring country Afghanistan. However all stake holders should play their role in bringing Taliban and Afghan government to negotiations table”, this was said by Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal during weekly press briefing here Thursday.
He evaded to give reply with regard to Afghan Taliban negotiations with reference to conference in Saudi Arabia.
Regarding US-Pakistan talks he said talks are underway between the two countries. However we can not share its details with media.
He sounded optimistic that a positive headway would be made in US-Pakistan negotiations.
He expressed his ignorance about visit of secret agencies authorities of Iran, Russia and China.
He said that Indian troops are perpetuating barbaric acts on unarmed Kashmiris in Occupied Kashmir. These brutalities are unparalleled in the history. Second anniversary of Burhan Wani was observed on July 8. Indian troops have perpetrated unprecedented atrocities on innocent Kashmiris during the last two years. Hundreds of Kashmiris have been martyred and thousands have been deprived of eyesight through pellet guns. Thousands have been critically injured.
He told the media men that 8 Kashmiris including children were martyred during the last week.
He slated the shifting of Asiya Andrabi and her companion Soofia to Tahar jail.
He said Kashmiris have courageously braved the Indian brutalities since 1947. It is still continuing. UN Human Rights Commission has also issued report on human rights violations.
Responding to a question he said highlighting Kashmir issue at international level is key pillar of foreign ministry policy. This policy has not undergone any change. Pakistan has been fighting case of Kashmiris on every forum. International community should play its role on matter of violation of human rights in Occupied Kashmir. Kashmir conundrum should be sorted out as per will of Kashmiris, he reiterated.
To a question about FATF, he said financé ministry is dealing FATF and foreign ministry is assisting on this count.
