Capt (Retd) Safdar sent to Adiala jail
ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court (AC) has sent Capt (Retd) Safdar who is convicted in Avenfield reference to Adiala jail.
Capt (Retd) Safdar at a party rally surrendered himself before NAB on Sunday at Liaqat Bagh.
NAB presented Capt (Retd) Safdar before AC Monday. Safdar was brought from NAB regional office to AC under stringent security.
Safdar was presented before AC judge Muhammad Bashir. The court wrote a letter in the name of Adiala jail. Later Capt (Retd) Safdar was sent to Adiala jail under stringent security.
The AC had awarded one year punishment to Capt (Retd) Safdar in Avenfield reference. However the court had sentenced him to one year in prison separately for not extending cooperation to court.
Both the prison terms will run concurrently.
