ISLAMABAD: Shakil Awan, PML-N leader and petitioner in Sheikh Rashid misdeclaration of assets case has said decision has come in favor of Sheikh Rashid despite acceptance of error by him.
“ Despite acceptance of his error by Sheikh Rashid the decision has come this way. It proves that how difficult it is to seek justice in Pakistan”, he said this while talking to media men outside Supreme Court (SC) here Wednesday.
He went on to say the case pertaining to disqualification of Sheikh Rashid ran in election tribunal for 18 months which was to decide the case within 4 months. Against tribunal decision I approached SC. The judgment remained reserved for 85 days in my case.
Sheikh Rashid accepted in the court that he had committed mistake even then SC verdict came in his favor. This proves how difficult it has become to seek justice in Pakistan, he added.
We will continue to knock the doors of courts as long as the justice is dispensed, he declared.
