Four visually impaired mountaineers will be part of II Mountaineering Expedition


Islamabad: Four blind or severely visually impaired mountaineers will be part of the II inclusive Expedition is done globally to Scandinavian Mountains (Norway), as the culmination of Superior mountaineering course for the Blind and Adapted from the UNED Foundation (National University of Education Distance).

The objective of this issue, composed of 20 climbers, is that students of course coexist in the same conditions as given in any base field and forming in progression techniques by glacier protective action and rescue-always within the Mountaineering discipline for the Blind. It will take place between 1 and 5 June, ending with the ascent of Mount Glittertind, the highest second of the Scandinavian Mountains (2465 meters).

The presentation ceremony was attended by the Director General of Youth and Sports of the Community of Madrid, Javier Orcaray; Group coordinator Mountain ONCE in Madrid and course director, Francisco Javier Bueno; total blind mountaineer, Mayte Minaya; and student, Mario Martin.
