ISLAMABAD(Daily Prliment Times): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet has demanded the international community to take serious notice of the crackdown, arrests and brute use of force on the peaceful protesters and students in the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Acting Prime Minister Chaudhary Tariq Farooq presided over the informal meeting of the cabinet at Kashmir House here on Wednesday.
AJK Cabinet expressed grave concern over the deteriorating human rights situation in the held valley and urged international human rights bodies to take immediate notice of the situation. The cabinet strongly condemned the Indian army’s atrocities on the defenseless Kashmiris struggling for their fundamental right, right to self determination.
AJK Cabinet also expressed gratitude to Federal government for timely releasing the development budget and termed it a true reflection of the interest of the federal government in the progress and development of the liberated territory.The Cabinet expressed hope that timely release of the development fund would help complete the all ongoing development projects in the stipulated time.AJK Cabinet also reviewed the upcoming budget proposals during the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Acting Prime Minister Chaudhary Tariq Farooq said that PML-N government is taking tangible steps for the prosperity and economic development of the region.
He said work on the mega development projects has been accelerated and timely completion will be ensured.Additional Chief Secretary (Development) Dr. Syed Asif Ali Shah briefed the meeting about the progress on different development projects.
