Karachi: Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Karachi has sent former SSP Malir Rao Anwar to jail on judicial remand till 2nd May in connection with the murder case of Naqeeb-Ullah Mehsood.
The hearing of the case of Naqeeb-Ullah murder in a fake police encounter was held in the Anti-Terrorism court Karachi here on Saturday.
The main accused Rao Anwar and co-accused were presented in the court.
The investigation officer Dr Rizwan told the court during the hearing that investigation has not been completed from the accused.
He requested the court to send Rao Anwar to jail on judicial remand.
Dr Rizwan while seeking one week time from the court for filing challan of the case took the stance that JIT has been set up to investigate the accused and the final report will be presented in the light of the recommendations of JIT.
Court while ordering to send Rao Anwar to jail on judicial remand till 2nd May extended the judicial remand of co-accused.
It is to be mentioned here that the main accused in Naqeeb-Ullah murder case was under the police custody on physical remand since one month.
Later Rao Anwar said while replying to question by media outside the court that everything will become clear on JIT. I will
I will tell everybody either the encounters were fake or not. Let the challan of the case be submitted, everything will become known/identified, he added.
