MIRPUR: AJK civil society here Tuesday has welcomed the reported decision of Radio Pakistan about bringing news-in-brief of the duration of two-minutes after an every hour simultaneously from the national hookup and the subordinate units across the country including Azad Jammu Kashmir.
Hailing the decision, noted business community stalwart and President Markazi Anjuman e Tajran [Ittehad group] Chaudhry Mahmood said that since radio including that functioning on swift FM frequency of the modern age, is the quick mean of infotainment, the hourly news brief from the radio will keep inform its listeners of the latest information of human interest to its listeners even during their movement / travelling in the vehicles.
Talking to this Correspondent here today, the business community leader said that it was a very good and wise decision of the management of the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation [PBC] especially its Central News Organization [CNO] at Islamabad for the sake of dissemination of the latest information and knowledge about the round-the-clock happenings taking place at regional, national and international levels of the human interests.
Mahmood expressed the hope that besides other latest events of the human interest the world over including those at regional and national level, the frequent daily tragic incidents including the human rights abuses at the hands of the Indian occupying forces against the innocent people in occupied Jammu Kashmir would also be projected and covered in the scheduled hourly brief news bulletins to apprise the world of the reign of state terrorism and violence unleashed by India against the Kashmiris, who have launched struggle for liberation of the motherland from long Indian subjugation since over last seven decades.
