Gold Coast: Pakistani wrestler Mohammad Bilal, won the bronze medal in 57kg category of the Commonwealth Games.
The Wrestling Contests started on the 9th day of the international sports event, in which 57-kg free style wrestling match competitions were played.
From Pakistan Mohammad Bilal had defeated the Wrestler representing Malta and after that he also defeated the Sri Lankan wrestler, reaching the semi-finals.
In the semi finals match, Pakistan’s wrestlers Mohammad Bilal competed with Indian wrestling Rahul Aware in which he was defeated. After the defeat, Mohammad Bilal competed with England’s George Ram for the bronze medal and Mohammad Bilal won the bronze, winning 3 points.
This is Pakistan’s 3rd Bronze Medal in the Commonwealth games, the first two were won in the weight lifting competitions. While the Pakistan Hockey Team has already been eliminated from the hockey event of the Commonwealth Games.
