Karachi:(Parliament Times) Pasban e Pakistan President Altaf Shakoor has said that the government should take strong notice of the killing of a Pakistani and injuring of another by a US embassy official in Islamabad by breaking red traffic signal.
In a statement here Tuesday, he demanded that the US Defense Attaché Col Joseph should be arrested for killing biker Atiq and injuring pillion-rider Raheel. He said the government should arrest the accused and swap him for the release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui. He said if the government took a serious action in this regard the whole Pakistani nation would support it.
He appealed to the Pakistani politicians to forge unity for safeguarding the national interests and securing release and repatriation of Aafia Siddiqui. He said in past the rulers did not respect the sentiments of the nation and behaved cowardly on important sensitive issues. He said due to
this attitude of our government CIA contract agent Raymond Davis was released and allowed going home.
He said it is regrettable that the foreighners are breaking our laws in Pakistan. He said how the US official dared to break the red traffic signal. He said the foreigners including diplomatic people should be made bound to respect the Pakistani laws while they stay here. He said the
government, police and Islamabad administration should reject any pressure regarding the case of killing and injuring Pakistani citizens. He said the Islamabad tragedy accused showed not be allowed to flee the country. He demanded of the government to take all-out steps for early repatriation of Dr Aafia Siddiqui.
