Sukkur: In an encounter with police in Sukkur a dacoit wanted in several cases has been killed and three of his accomplices have managed to escape.
According to SSP spokesman on national highway in the limit of Thana Sanghi four accused opened fire on check post. However in the retaliatory fire by police one dacoit has been killed and three managed to escape. The dead identified as Mumtaz alias Shakoor alias Mando Sheikh.
According to spokesman that the dacoit Mando Sheikh two years ago in 2016 was involved in the kidnapping of nephew of Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durani, Naveed alias Nomi who was got released after the payment of ransom of Rs 6 million.
On the other hand this dacoit last year has kidnapped the son of a senator Haman Das belonging to Balochistan who was got released after the payment of ransom of Rs 9 million.
Forty two cases against Mando Sheikh had been registered for kidnapping for ransom, dacoity, theft and attempted murder.
