Rawalpindi: The Punjab Government has issued directives for the completion of home work to ply new bus service from Rawat and Coral to New International Airport till April 22 to 25.
Around 4 to 5 kanals of land will be allotted to a private transport company in connection with bus terminals near Rawat and Koral Chowk.
Air conditioned Express Bus Service will facilitate the citizens on two different routes whereas fares will be negotiated as per kilometer.
Initially 67 buses with seating capacity of above 30 each, will be plied on two routes.
Only one Transport Company has evinced interest to run buses on the above mentioned routes with suggestion of Rs 275 fare.
Meanwhile Secretary RTA Khalid Yamin Satti said that “up till now, only one Transport Company has evinced interest to run buses on the routes” whereas, we had asked the company to review the proposed fare.
