Abbaspur: (Parliament Times) The PPP central leader and former co-coordinator to AJK prime minister Chudhary M Shafique has said that external interference into administrative affairs of Halqa 01 Abbaspur will continue unless and until all the seven union councils were disassociated from Thana and Tehsil Hajeera on permanent basis.
Shafiq said that MLA Ch. Yasin Gulshan should take formal approval from prime minister in this regard and call an all parties conference to discuss other peripheral issues. He said that other group was in favour of establishing a sub-division comprising of seven union councils of Halqa No 01.
Shafiq said that his stand was a bit different as he wanted that Ghameer that happens to be a center place of four union councils should be declared as Nayabat. As for as the PPP’s stand on the issue is concerned he said that his party and MLA Yasin Gulshan were on the same page.
Besides setting up pertinent local government and electricity department offices in Ghameer he said that already existing police Chowky should be upgraded to Police station. Demanding establishment of camp office for assistant commissioner in Nayabat Ghambeer he said that Ghambeer should be vested with powers that of a Tehsil. He said that Sehara should upgraded on the similar pattern.
He said that Assistant commissioner Abbaspur should be directed to spend 10 days in each in Sehara, Ghameer and Abasspur and all secretaries of the respective union councils should be made bound to work at their centers. He said that it was late MLA Ch. M Bashir who played key role in getting Abbaspur declared as Nayabat in 1976. he said that at that time Bashir had also sought formal approval for ASP for Abbaspur.
