Rawalpindi: Anti-Corruption Directorate, Rawalpindi after conducting enquiry started proceeding against 3 Officers of TMA Rawal Town, 8 Inspectors and 9 plaza owners on the charges of illegal construction of Commercial Plazas along Murree Road, Rawalpindi. Police Station Anti-Corruption has registered FIR against the culprits and started investigations.

According to the details, inquiry against officers/officials of Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi was initiated by Directorate of Anti- Corruption Rawalpindi on account of illegal plazas at Murree Road. Mr. Amjad Shahzad Circle Officer (Headquarter) Rawalpindi was appointed as Enquiry Officer to probe the matter. As outcomes of the enquiry, authority approved registration of case in Police Station Anti-Corruption against three Regulation Officers of Rawal Town, Rawalpindi, Malik Tauseef Ahmad, Malik Mukhtar Ahmad and Shahzad Naveed Gohar.Arshad khan Building Inspector, Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Shamsher Shah, Haji Mukhtar Ahmed, Tariq Yousuf, Muhammad Sohail, Muhammad Saleem Khan Enforcement Inspectors and Gul Rahman

FIR against owners who constructed illegal commercial plazas at Murree Road in connivance with officers of TMA Rawal Town includded Aziz Ullah Owner of China Centre, Dr. Muhammad Rafique and Adam khan Gul Rahman Owner Gulf Centre, Abdul Majeed Malik Ashiana Centre,Malik Saad ullah Khan, Naeem Ullah Khan, Ameer Ullah Khan, Faheem Ullah Khan owners Dubai plaza.

Giving further details, Director Anti-Corruption Directorate, Rawalpindi Mr. Arif Raheem informed that the charges against the culprits were leveled on the grounds that the various Plazas were illegally constructed in Rawalpindi City without the approval of site plan by joining hands with public functionaries and cheated general public by selling properties in unapproved buildings. FIR No. 05/2018 has been registered against accused at PS ACE (HQ) Rawalpindi and investigation is entrusted to JIT comprising Zia Ullah Assistant Director, Deputy Director Technical and Amjad Shahzad Circle Officer (Hq).
